According to a 2022 study conducted in Quebec, Canada - Diet, an important determinant of health, has been studied in various contexts, including obesity, metabolism, and cancer. However, although diet and nutrition have been used for tissue regeneration, many details of the molecular mechanical pathways seem still emerging to light. Foods that cause inflammation

Inflammation is part of your body's natural defense against things that adversely affect health, like bacteria, viruses and toxins. But your immune system is complicated, and its components are sometimes triggered by unexpected things — including certain foods. An unbalanced diet means eating a lot of processed foods, which contain ingredients that can activate inflammatory processes directly. Foods that have high levels of fat, sugar and other refined carbohydrates are essentially toxic to our bodies and trigger inflammatory pathways through a number of direct and indirect ways.  Try to avoid or limit these foods as much as possible:

  • Refined carbohydrates, such as white bread and pastries
  • French fries and other fried foods
  • Soda and other sugar-sweetened beverages
  • Red meat (burgers, steaks) and processed meat (hot dogs, sausage)
  • Margarine, shortening, and lard

Benefits of anti-inflammatory foods

On the other side are beverages and foods that reduce inflammation and chronic illness, mainly fruits and vegetables such as blueberries, apples, and leafy greens that are high in natural antioxidants and polyphenols-- protective compounds discovered in plants. Studies have correspondingly associated nuts with minimized markers of inflammation and a lower risk of heart disease and diabetes. Coffee, which includes polyphenols and other anti-inflammatory substances, might protect against swelling, also.

Anti-inflammatory foods

An anti-inflammatory diet should include these foods:

  • Tomatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, kale, and collard
  • Nuts like almonds and walnuts
  • Fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, tuna, and sardines
  • Fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and oranges

Anti-inflammatory diet

To reduce levels of swelling, aim for a healthy diet. If you are searching for an eating strategy that carefully follows the principles of anti-inflammatory consumption, consider the Mediterranean diet, which is high in fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains, fish, and healthy oils.

Some recommended healthy ingredients

Ginger root: typically utilized in Thai cooking to help settle indigestions. Ginger is understood to combat inflammation by reducing polyunsaturated fatty acids that can activate an inflammatory reaction. 

Mushrooms: High in micronutrients known as polyphenols. These nutrients are stemcell enhancers and can be found in plant-based diets; They help protect and cleanse liver cells from harmful contaminants that can break down hormones in the body.

Seed and Nuts: Excellent snacks filled with protein and beneficial fats that keep you feeling full longer and assist in eliminating any cravings. Seeds consist of anti-inflammatory plant sterols, while nuts are filled with alpha-linolenic acid, a type of inflammatory combating omega-3 fat.

Cruciferous veggies: Cauliflower, Broccoli, kale, cabbage, bok choy, garden cress & Brussels sprouts are some of the best foods for stem cell growth.
